About Us

Since our historic founding in 1898 at the City College of New York, more than 140,000 men have been initiated into our great Brotherhood. In 1989 ZBT became the first fraternity to abolish pledging and all two-tier membership statuses. Although initially founded as a Jewish organization, our Brotherhood focuses on equal rights, privileges and responsibilities for all brothers, regardless of background. We firmly believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive brotherhood to build our men into the leaders of tomorrow. ZBTs can be found in all aspects of life: business, entertainment, media, politics, tech, philanthropy and more.
